It is like a person groping in the dark. Once a light is found, it will be difficult to resist temptation and to chase after all, and eventually deviate from his original goal.

Patience is a positive attitude.


What is patience? In my opinion, the popular saying is to do things to be lonely and not anxious.

But no hurry is likely to be negative. Many people who work and muddle along are not worried, but not patience.

Therefore, in a comprehensive way, I think patience is a positive attitude. There are two key words: "positive" and "not anxious".


Entrepreneurs need patience, and almost every success will not be smooth sailing.

Generally speaking, as for patience, I want to offer some advice to entrepreneurs:


First, patience can keep people away from small profits.


As we all know, starting a business is very difficult. The pressure of entrepreneurs everyday is unbearable for ordinary people.

In this case, it is like a person groping in the dark. Once a light is found, it will be difficult to resist temptation and go all the way to catch up, eventually deviating from his original goal.

It is China's first batch of Internet vertical media, and has always been a leader in its own field.

But in 2003 and 2004, as the market for mobile value-added services suddenly became hot, the profitability of his company was not strong at that time. So he turned the company around and began to invest most of his resources in the SP industry.

In the end, he made some money in the good years of the market, but also lost his previous market leading position. Another company took the place and sold a good price before the financial crisis came in 2008.

The company eventually sold more money than the entrepreneur made from the SP industry, but more importantly, he lost his business because he had no patience to pursue short-term interests.

Of course, some people will doubt that if he doesn't do SP, maybe the company will fall out, or is the ultimate goal of business not making money?

My response is: there are some reasons for these statements, but if your dreams are big enough and ambitious enough, you should be patient and avoid small profits.

It enables people to stick to long-term strategies.


This is also a response to the previous point.

We often say that a person's original dream and the initial strategy of a company determine the ultimate height of this person and the company.

Dreams can be corrected, strategies can be changed, but big directions are hard to change.

There is a company that we invest in to do financial services. The boss of this company is a person I personally admire very much. He spent four or five years traveling to visit and study in various countries to prepare for his own business plan. He went to work in a leading company, and worked hard with potential investors to chat with all the experts.

At the very beginning, he was the only person who believed in his direction and strategy. Today, the company's direction has been recognized by the whole industry.


Third, in terms of patience, we should also pay attention to coordinating the differences between entrepreneurs and investors.


Investors (here I only refer to venture capitalists) also need patience, because early investment is not an immediate thing, and should be patient with every company and every entrepreneur during the reasonable fund life.

However, there is a fundamental difference, that is, what entrepreneurs are doing may be the cause of his life, and investors may have more than ten years of management funds.

This difference has led to differences between the two sides in this matter.

Then, what is the best way to solve this problem? I think there is no other way to communicate.

How to communicate? First, before financing, entrepreneurs have to think clearly about their own plans. It is best to take into account the healthy development of the company and the reasonable return of investors. Otherwise, why do investors invest in you? Why do you want to invest? This is to communicate with yourself and the team.

Second, when financing and financing, entrepreneurs have to control the expectations of investors: too low expectations, investors are not interested in investing or even impatient with investment. The expectation is too high, once there is a problem, there will be a big contradiction.

This is to communicate with investors.


Be patient.
