In February 18th, the suspect Guo Meiying was arrested on suspicion of selling counterfeit registered trademark goods by the people's Procuratorate of Zhuzhou.


Guo Meiying is 38 years old, Yiyang City, Hunan province.

Since 2007, Guo Meiying and his husband have been doing the clothing business on the third floor of the Chinatown clothing market in Zhuzhou, which is mainly a brand garment.


Due to bad business, around March 2010, two couples began selling counterfeit "Nike", "Adidas", "Puma", "back to back", "Lining" and other famous brand costumes.

They purchase goods from a place in Fujian, and then sell them to Changsha, Changde, Zhangjiajie, Guilin Xingan, Xiangtan, Loudi and other places.

A brand summer wear that sells more than 500 yuan to foreign retailers, they sell wholesale from 20 yuan to 40 yuan per piece, and a down garment sold for 1800 yuan in a specialty store. They sell wholesale and retail at the price of more than 200 yuan.

According to Guo Meiying, the turnover from April 2010 to the end of September 2010 was about 120 thousand yuan.


Because of the huge sales volume, it caused huge economic losses and social negative effects to the above-mentioned brand agents. In December 2010, the victim reported to the public security organ, which resulted in the incident.

The public security machine seized 2439 pieces of fake clothing, and the total value was 170850 yuan.
